Learning about the Famine

During December our 5th and 6th classes visited Skibbereen Heritage Centre to see the Famine Exhibition with Terri Kearney guiding. This was followed by a walking tour of Skibbereen town's Famine heritage sites with local historian Philip O'Regan and a visit to the Famine mass graves at Abbeystrowry graveyard.
